03 / SHRINE AND STREETS
Why visit
the shrine?
The festival is not only a row of food stalls. Local festival floats and music move through the neighbourhoods, while prayer, music offerings and worship take place at Hanno Yasaka Shrine.
A useful way to experience the day is to enjoy the streets, visit the shrine respectfully, then return through the town as its atmosphere changes.
This is a visitor interpretation based on the official schedule and local observation. It does not claim an unverified history for the shrine or individual neighbourhoods.
